I don’t know if it’s the cooler, snowy weather? I don’t know if it was too much eating out over the holidays? Maybe it’s that life has slowed right down? Maybe it’s that I love feeding people? All I know is that I’ve been on a cooking frenzy as of late. I pulled the Christmas Turkey carcass out of the freezer on Sunday and made an insane amount of turkey soup. We were talking about pizza the other day on Beach Radio and I was inspired to go home and make pizza in my cast iron skillet. Then I made home made potatoes au gratin from a Julia Child recipe and a giant ham. A Julia Child recipe? Who am I? And more importantly, what should I make today? Spaghetti Carbonara? A casserole or stew? Stir Fry?
Shockingly the family seems to be enjoying it. Especially the soup. The problem is we have so many leftovers. If you’re in the neighbourhood stop in.
